Symrise Pet Food is a global leader in sustainable, high-value solutions designed to enhance pets’ well-being. They offer innovative ingredient solutions and extended value propositions for the pet food industry. One of their sustainable practices includes using eggshells from eggs unsuitable for human consumption. These eggs are processed into high-quality proteins and fats that contribute to animal health and growth. By utilizing by-products from the egg industry, Symrise actively promotes a circular economy and sustainable production practices.
Project description
As a student consultant, you will investigate potential sources of eggshell membranes (ESM) through literature research, stakeholder interviews, and an analysis of technical, economic, and environmental aspects. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive report outlining the most promising ESM sources, supported by clear insights and a well-founded recommendation for Symrise to pursue. Your work will help Symrise explore sustainable raw materials and drive innovation in circular and environmentally conscious production processes.
